Does my age affect auto insurance rate?

I’m getting 25 next month and am going to pay for my auto insurance on my own. Does my age affect my premium?

Drivers under the age of 24 frequently have the highest insurance costs, but as you reach the age of 25, your prices usually start to reduce. Drivers in their 40s and 50s often pay the lowest rates.

The average annual auto insurance rate for a 25-year-old is $2036. Always notify your agent and seek any possible reductions when you reach a new milestone, such as marriage or house ownership. If you're unhappy with your current insurance premium, check around for a better deal.
